Scottie Bowden appointed to the Phenom Basketball Board
Scottie Bowden was elected to the Phenom Basketball Board of Directors at a recent meeting on October 21, 2007 in San Diego, CA. Scottie was given the title of Northeast Regional Director. Duties will include supervising any regional camps and scouting talent for the Boys Elite, Boys/Girls Phenom 150 and Boys/Girls Junior Phenom Camps.

John Carroll Big Fella, Jakub Kusmeriuk takes visit to Central Florida
John Carroll's big center is heading to the sunshine state this weekend for an official visit to he University of Central Florida. Central Florida was the first school to begin recruiting BIg Kuba since he was a sophomore and just arrived at John Carroll. Kuba is one of the biggest players in the country in the class of 2007.
Big Kuba had a great Summer with the Select team. He participated at the Spring Fling in New Jersey, the Adidas It Takes 5ive Tournament in Cincinnatti, The Players Ball in New Jersey, HoopGroups West Virginia Tournament and The Adidas Super 64. He also spent a significant amount of time with Coach Martin at John Carroll on individual workouts with the coahing staff.
Kuba is also being recruited by Georgetown, LaSalle, South Florida, Penn State and others. We will speak with Coach Martin at John Carroll to see how his recruiting is going.

Jared Woodley earns local coaching poistion
Former Select standout and Hampton University Graduate has earned a position of assistant coach at Calvert Hall. This local high school has a history of academics and winning basketball. Coach Woodley will begin his coaching career trying to give back to local kids. Jared has played at a National level during spring/summer ball for 3 years while in high school with Baltimore Select along with being a three year starter at Division 1, Hampton University. We know Jared will become a mentor to the kids at Calvert Hall. Congratulations Jared!!!
