Coach Scott Bowden had a recent conversation with Coach Leonard Hamilton, and
the head coach said that he and his coaching staff are pleasantly surprised with

10, 2002Baltimore Select players continue to fare well during the college
exhibition seasonJaz
Cowan - George Washington University (Atlantic 10) Jaz
enjoyed a successful debut at George Washington Universitie's first exhibition
against EA Sports. Jaz should fare well in the A-10.
Kevin
Steenberge - Richmond University (Atlantic 10) Kevin
was a very successful high school student/athlete at River Hill High School in
Columbia, Maryland, that is why Richmond is a great fit for him. While out on
the summer circuit with Baltimore Select, Kevin showed off his talent and ability
to play D-1 ball. In his first exhibition game for the Spiders, Kevin scored 12
points and pulled down 10 rebounds. He is a tenatious rebounder and should be
a major impact off the bench for the Spiders. He will be a force to deal with
for his A-10 opponents.
Doug
Underwood - Youngstown State University (Horizon League) Doug
is starting his second season at Youngstown State and is expected to be one of
the best two guards in the conference. He has gained some muscle and should be
ready for the long season. As a freshman, he finished top twenty in the Horizon
league at 10.4 ppg. He is now ready to assume a leadership role on the team and
lead YSU to a successful season. In the first exhibition game , Underwood scored
